Mitchell Machine is a fourth generation family business with over fifty years experience building Special Custom Machinery. John A. Mitchell founded Mitchell Machine in the 1920′s, and focused primarily on part production through the war years. His sons, Frank, John, and Richard, took over for their father in the late 1950′s, and led us into the tool and die business.
Frank’s sons, Jack and Frank, currently own and manage Mitchell Machine, which now emphasizes Special Machinery and sub-contract machining. Our modern equipment, backed by the latest CAD/CAM Systems, allows us to efficiently produce complex parts both large and small.
We established Mitchell Engineering, Inc. in 1992 to broaden the range of services we offer to our customers. Our talented group of engineers and technicians enables us to design and build sophisticated custom machines.
The foundation of Mitchell Machine’s production process is the individual Machine Builder, who operates in an environment where innovation and craftsmanship are highly regarded. These dedicated individuals, working in close cooperation with machine designers and highly skilled machinists, develop automated machinery that meets even the most exacting of our customer’s requirements.
Our 30,000 square-foot facility gives us the capacity not only to fabricate and assemble on-site, but also to perform a complete run-in before our customers’ machines leave the plant. We thoroughly test every aspect of our products before shipment to ensure that each machine we produce lives up to our high standards for longevity and reliability.
Mitchell Machine’s ability to handle the total project with on-time, economical results has satisfied a long list of customers, foreign and domestic, in a variety of industries including:
